Content Guidelines

Pixmely is a free library of photos and AI-generated images. To keep it safe and legal for everyone, every upload is reviewed before it goes live. Please read these guidelines before contributing.

What you may upload

• Photographs you took yourself, and own the rights to.
• Images you generated with an AI tool whose terms allow commercial use and redistribution.
• Content you are willing to share for free download, with no attribution required.

What you may not upload

• Images you did not create or do not have the rights to share — including stock photos, screenshots, or anything downloaded from another site.
• Images containing recognisable people without their permission (a model release). Extra care is required for images of children.
• Recognisable brand logos, trademarks, or copyrighted characters and artwork.
• Sexual, violent, hateful, or otherwise harmful or illegal content.
• Misleading, deceptive, or spammy uploads.

A note on AI-generated images

If you upload an AI-generated image, please label it as such during upload. You are responsible for making sure the tool you used permits commercial use and redistribution of its output. AI images are shown with an “AI” badge for transparency.

Review & removal

Uploads start as “in review” and only appear publicly once approved. We may reject or remove any image at any time. If you believe an image infringes your copyright, please see our Copyright & Takedown page. Anyone can also report an image using the “Report” link on its page.

By uploading, you confirm you have the right to share the content and agree to these guidelines.
